Dear Colleagues:
Millions of people are struggling to make their student loan payments, and see opportunities pass while paying down their debt. Does this sound like you or someone you know?
There are free federal programs that can may reduce their monthly payments and lead to student loan forgiveness, but these lifeline programs are significantly under-enrolled. In an effort to help our colleagues get access to these programs, AFT Utah is proud to host a Student Debt Clinic which will provide information on how to enroll.
We will be offering Student Debt Clinics at the following time and locations on Tuesday, November 27 at 4:00 PM at the Union Labor Center 2261 South Redwood Road Suite 15, SLC, 84119.
Please pre-register here http://aft.to/StudentDebtClinicRSVP. Select the “AFT-Utah 11/27/2018” the drop-down menu. If you are a member, type in the full name of your local in the required “Affiliate” field, if not a member of AFT Utah, type no affiliate. Registration is first come, first serve, and we must cap attendance for a single clinic at 20 participants in order to ensure that we are able to provide maximum assistance to attendees. [If you can’t make this clinic, don’t worry – we’re planning on offering it again.]
We look forward to seeing you at the Student Debt Clinic and working together to find a collective solution to the problems of student debt!
